Audio Recording Experiment

Good evening! This is Dennis returning to my posting duties.

This evening I decided to hook up my Blue Yeti microphone, download Audacity audio recording/editing software, and learn how to record myself.

Audacity is an open source software package with an amazing amount of power and flexibility, but it was actually fairly easy to use for this novice. Below is a recording I did of myself reading Shakespeare’s 2nd Sonnet. I did minimal processing, removing background noise (my computer’s fan is almost always on) and balancing the bass and treble.

Enjoy listening, and please leave a comment either here or on Facebook!
